Here is Ursa Major (the Big Dipper) over the Grand Canyon in Arizona. In this image the canyon illumination was created by a waxing gibbous moon, probably about 80% full.

This is a single frame image, taken with my Canon 6D on a tripod, with the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L lens. The lens was set at 28mm for this shot, and the exposure was only 8 seconds at ISO 1600.
