Digital Image: Central Cygnus Region

This is a wide field view of the large central area of summer Milky Way, through the constellation of Cygnus. The bright star at the center is Sadr (Gamma Cygni). The nebulosity is IC 1318A & B, the Gamma Cygni Nebula. Also included to the lower left is the Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888.

Image Info

Canon 60D with a Canon 100-400mm L lens, set at 100mm. 38 x 120 second exposures for a total integration time of 76 minutes. Captured and stacked in Nebulosity, processed in StarTools, and finished in Aperture.
