NGC 4565 (also known as the Needle Galaxy or Caldwell 38) is an edge-on spiral galaxy about 30 to 50 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.

Canon 60D with an Astronomik CLS LPR filter, mounted at the prime focus of the KPO 18″ Reflector. 30 x 120s subframes, yielding a total integration time of 1 hour of exposure. Captured and stacked in Nebulosity, processed in StarTools, and finished in Aperture.
