Here is the North American Nebula (NGC 7000), and the Pelican Nebula (IC 5070), taken from Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. I used my iOptron SmartEQ tracking mount for this image. See this post about the portable astrophotography system.

Again, this image was taken using iOptron SmartEQ equatorial mount, with my Canon 60D (no filter), and the Canon 100-400mm L lens, set at 400mm. It was a little too tight for this object; I think 300mm would have been a bit better. 21 subframes of 2 minutes each, all at ISO 6400. Captured and stacked in nebulosity, processed in StarTools, and finished in Aperture.
