Here’s our newest image from KPO – the Rosette Nebula. This stunning emission nebula can be found near the constellation of Orion. Still not perfect, but a huge improvement over the current shot I had. I started this sequence right after the observing session on Friday. Click on the image to the left to see the full size shot.

Canon 60D with a Canon 100-400mm L Zoom lens, @ F/5.6. 20 subframes of 4 minutes each; 80 minutes total integration time, all frames at ISO 1600. Captured and stacked in Nebulosity, processed in StarTools, and finished in Aperture.
