Composite – Maximum Eclipse for Florida during the Annular Eclipse of 2023
This image was taken at maximum eclipse (1:26 EDT) on October 14th, 2023. At this time there was 60% coverage of the solar surface.
The image is a composite of two separate frames to capture a high dynamic range. The long exposure frame showing the glow of the atmosphere around the sun was 1/60th second @ ISO 1000. The shorter image capturing surface detail was 1/1000 second. These were combined in PhotoShop to produce this composite.
